Over the years I have accumulated a vast and varying array of knowledge, skills and abilities. These include working in marketing, hospitality, coordinating different types of events, large and small, running a small catering business, teaching yoga and working as a massage therapist and reiki practitioner.
In addition to the above, the one constant in my life has been my quest for ‘the meaning of life’. It was sparked by a number of events in my early twenties, one of which was returning from a delightful two week holiday in Greece back to what seemed liked the emptiness of the daily grind. The contrast was shocking and I had to ask myself, is this it? Is life supposed to be 50 weeks a year of doing what I don't want to do in order to have 2 weeks doing what I enjoy? When I looked around it did seem that that was what everyone else was doing, and nobody else seemed to mind! Was there something wrong with me? And so my journey began.
I read lots and lots of books, encountered some amazing teachers, met others on the same quest (some have become life-long friends) experienced expanded states of consciousness, misery, despair and miracles but now I truly believe in magic. I have learned so very much and after falling down and getting back up time and time again, I believe I have and answer and I am delighted to tell you that the answer is ‘no’. Life is not supposed to be difficult in fact we are supposed to enjoy and appreciate the gift of life and all the wonders of creation.
Do you know what else I have learned? That it is remarkably simple when we stop staring down in the ditch and take the time to look up. There is so much more available to us than what we habitually focus on.
So after all that, I wanted to put what I have learned to good use and help others who are looking for a better way of living, I want everyone to know how good if feels to be free. In the words of the late, great Stuart Wilde,
